Chinese drone manufacturer DJI has developed an autonomous drone system designed to monitor agricultural crops, aiming to increase efficiency and reduce labor costs for farmers. The system uses advanced computer vision and machine learning algorithms to analyze crop health and detect potential issues.

Autonomous Flight

The drones are equipped with high-resolution cameras and can fly autonomously, covering large areas of land in a single flight. The system can monitor up to 1.2 million hectares of land daily, providing farmers with valuable insights into crop health and development.

The autonomous drone system has increased crop yields by an average of 15% in pilot projects.
