The initiative aims to modernize China's energy infrastructure, improve grid efficiency, and promote the integration of renewable energy sources.

Upgrade Plans

The smart grid upgrades will focus on the deployment of advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, IoT sensors, and high-voltage transmission lines. According to State Grid Corporation, the upgrades will enable real-time monitoring and control of the grid, reducing energy losses and improving overall system reliability.

The $10 billion investment in smart grid upgrades represents one of the largest infrastructure investments made by State Grid Corporation in recent years.
