NASA's Robonaut 2 robot has completed a successful spacewalk on the International Space Station (ISS), marking a significant milestone in the development of robotic systems for space exploration. The robot, designed to assist astronauts with maintenance and repair tasks, performed a series of tasks during the spacewalk, including the installation of a new antenna and the inspection of the station's exterior.
Spacewalk Details
The spacewalk, which lasted 6 hours and 15 minutes, was the first time a robot has performed a spacewalk on the ISS. Robonaut 2 was controlled remotely by a team of engineers and astronauts on the ground, who monitored its progress and provided real-time feedback.
